The second highest peak after Kilimanjaro is Mount Meru. It has 2 peaks, first and the highest one is Meru summit and the additional peak inside the crater which was formed after volcanic eruption is Ash cone.
This Mount Meru can be ascended in 3 or 4 days on the Momela route, and it doesn’t need any additional equipment to climb but you will need to be prepared for the altitude.
The climb offers spectacular view of Mount Kilimanjaro and wildlife. You can also witness the beauty of other smaller cones in the crater which occurred by numerous volcanic activities in the past.
